Fantasy Condor Heroes is an upcoming free-to-play MMO action game with cartoon-style 2D characters and turn-based combats. The game is now in development by Perfect World Entertainment, a leading China-based video game developer and publisher.
By drawing inspiration from a popular Chinese wuxia novel “Return of the Condor Heroes”, written by Louis Cha(Jin Yong), the game covers itself with a piece of Chinese ancient Kongfu culture.
“Prioritizing players’ needs, we will incorporate the quintessence of China’s martial arts legacies into an exciting online game that caters to international players with more personalized features. We look forward to presenting an experience of unprecedented fun to our players.” according to Michael Chi, Perfect World’s chairman and CEO.
By far, there aren’t yet exact details about the game’s gameplays, nor when it will be released. However, I believe Fantasy Condor Heroes must attract players from all the corners of the world not because it is in the title of ‘Free to Play’, but because it will be able to binge players into a magical Chinese Kongfu world, ever-lasting stratification and full relaxation.
