Lost Saga is a 3D anime-style brawler MMO developed by IO Entertainment and published by OGPlanet. It has an extraordinarily large number of heroes, the character classes which are categorized into five types: Melee, Ranged, Magic, Special and Premium. It is said that there will be over 100 playable classes by the end of full release. At the moment, there are a total of 36 figures available for North American version, ranging from the fantasy Fire Mage to real-life Mafia Boss.
In Lost Saga, you can possess the heroes in three ways: unlock new characters used free for 2 hours at the certain level; add them in the inventory by spending Pesos, the in-game currency earned in battles and quests; or purchase 3 Premium Heroes with Astros, the cash currency. All the heroes can be equipped with specific gears that not only change their looking, but also boost their stats. In spite of enormous heroes, the gameplay is very simple for the purpose of unleashing your power with combo skills. The all-out-brawls happens in diversified modes in certain game maps, such as Deathmatch in Ancient Ruins, Boss Raid in Volcanic Graveyard, Crusade in Citadel, etc.
The Deathmatch mode is in fact a free-for-all by knocking down as many your opponents as possible. In this mode, you can respawn to select your heroes once more. Then, Boss Raid can turn one player into an almighty boss so that the other non-boss players work in one team together for a boss fight. Furthermore, Crusade is virtually a PvE mode in which you meet the challenge from the AI (artificial intelligence) monsters. During Crusade battle, a mini-boss of random class appears every 5 level, and at last a reaper boss comes on stage in increment of level 20, 40 and 60. After being defeated, the final boss will drop a piece of equipment as a reward. Constituting the fighting feature of many other engrossing modes, Lost Saga provides the possibility of win or loss that is entirely dependent on the performance you behave.
Lost Saga is no doubt one of the best fighting games ever made, keeping your hack-and-slash aspiration up to the soul.
